FAQ
Huron Humidifier
It is important to clean your humidifier regularly to prevent the buildup of mold, bacteria, and mineral deposits, which can negatively impact the quality of the air that the humidifier produces.
As a general guideline, you should clean your humidifier at least once a week if you use it daily.
Cleaning method for atomizer:
1. Inject 10ml of vinegar on the surface of the atomizer (add or reduce vinegar according to the scaling status) and immerse the atomizer( black ring) for 2-5 mins.
2. Scrub the surface of the atomizer with a toothbrush gently until the scale is removed.
3. Wash the surface of the atomizer with clear water.
Cleaning method for water tank:
1. Pick up the mist outlet cover and push the fastener at its back to open the mist outlet cover and top cover. Disconnect the filter in water tank (press and pull up the springs at both sides of the filter). Lift up the water tank and remove the water cover subassembly by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Rinse the detached components under tap water. After cleaning, reassemble the components in reverse order. The water cover subassembly must be installed in place.
3. Add a small amount of vinegar or 5~10 drops of cleaning solution into the water tank. Then fill 1/4 of the water tank with water. Leave it for 5~10min and then use a brush to clean the water tank.
Cleaning method for water channel:
1. Disconnect the float plate to clean. Then put it back.
2. If the water channel has water deposits, wipe it with a soft cloth damped with a little vinegar and then rinse it with clean water.
Cleaning the fragrance box
1. Take out the fragrance sponge and clean it with water. Then leave it to dry.
2. Clean the fragrance box with water and then leave it to dry. Put the dry fragrance sponge back into the box and then replace the fragrance box.
We highly recommend using a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush to scrub away any buildup or debris on the small parts. Be gentle and thorough, paying close attention to hard-to-reach areas. Make sure to rinse them well to avoid any residue that can harm the humidifier.
Here are some of the most common reasons why Huron may blink red:
Low water level: Since Huron has a sensor that detects the water level in the tank, if the water level is too low, the humidifier may blink red to indicate that it needs to be refilled.
Dirty or clogged parts: As a general guideline, you should clean your humidifier at least once a week if you use it daily. If the components of the humidifier become dirty or clogged over time, it can cause the device to malfunction and blink red.
Sensor malfunction: Sometimes, the sensor that detects the water level or other parameters in the humidifier may malfunction, causing the device to blink red. In this case, turn the humidifier off, press the power button 3 times and check if the issue has been resolved.
Electrical issue: If the power cord has been damaged during use, please contact customer support to receive a replacement and avoid using humidifier until new cord or base is received.
The run time of a Huron ranges from 8 up to 50 hours depending on the model of humidifier (2, 4 or 6 l), the size of the room and the initial humidity level. If the room the humidifier is placed in, has low humidity level, the water gets consumed faster as the smart mode feature adjusts the mist level according to the surrounding humidity and puts it on a high mode which increases the mist pressure and then gradually decreases as the humidity rises.
It is certainly worth mentioning that if the room is very dry, it would approximately take 2 days to start noticing a change in humidity as this is how long it takes for the objects to absorb the mist and be fully humidified, hence, we strongly suggest having the unit on 8 hours per day for 2 days at first.
To make sure the humidifier is always at its peak we also recommend using distilled water and placing the unit on a flat surface 2-4 feet above the ground to mix with the air otherwise the humidity might not be as satisfactory.
We highly recommend using distilled water because it contains fewer minerals and impurities than tap water. Using distilled water can help prevent the buildup of mineral deposits and extend the life of your humidifier.
White dust is a common problem associated with using a humidifier, especially if you are using tap water or hard water with high mineral content. The white dust is actually mineral deposits left behind after the water evaporates. Here are some ways to deal with white dust from your humidifier:
Use distilled water: As mentioned earlier, using distilled water instead of tap water can help reduce the amount of mineral buildup and prevent white dust.
Use demineralization cartridges that can remove minerals from the water before it is released into the air.
Clean your humidifier regularly: Regular cleaning can help prevent the buildup of mineral deposits and reduce the amount of white dust. Refer to the manual instructions for how often to clean your humidifier and how to do it properly.
In the Smart Mode, the humidifier can automatically control the mist volume and stop/resume humidification. This feature can help optimize the performance of the humidifier and make it more efficient by ensuring that it operates only when needed.
Smart Mode automatically adjusts the mist level to maintain 40-60% relative humidity. The humidifier will stop misting when the highest target humidity level 65% is reached. If the humidity drops below the target humidity level, the humidifier will begin misting again.
The placement of a humidifier can have a significant impact on its performance and effectiveness. Here are some general guidelines to follow when deciding where to place Huronr:
Choose a central location: To achieve the best distribution of moisture, place your humidifier in a central location in the room, away from walls and furniture. This will allow the moisture to circulate evenly throughout the room.
Keep it elevated: Place the humidifier on a raised surface such as a table or shelf to allow the moisture to disperse more effectively. This can also help prevent water damage to flooring or furniture.
Keep it away from heat sources: Avoid placing the humidifier near heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or heaters, as this can cause the water to evaporate too quickly and reduce the humidifier's effectiveness.
Keep it away from electronics: Do not place the humidifier near electronics, such as televisions or computers, as the moisture can damage them.
Consider the size of the room: Choose a humidifier with an appropriate output capacity for the size of the room you want to humidify. A larger room may require a larger humidifier or multiple smaller ones placed strategically throughout the space.
Leakage can be caused by several reasons, including:
Overfilling: If you fill the water tank beyond the maximum fill line, the excess water can leak out of the humidifier.
Faulty seals: If the humidifier has been dropped or damaged, this can also cause the seals to become misaligned or damaged.
Clogged filters: If the filter in your humidifier becomes clogged with mineral buildup or other debris, this can cause the water to back up and leak out of the humidifier.
Improper assembly: If the humidifier is not assembled correctly according to the manual, this can cause leaks. Make sure all parts are securely in place and tightened properly.
Cracks or damage to the water tank: If the water tank of the humidifier is cracked or damaged, this can cause leaks.
To prevent leaks, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for filling the water tank and assembling the humidifier. Regular cleaning and maintenance can also help prevent clogs and damage to the humidifier. If you notice any leaks, stop using the humidifier and check for the cause of the problem. If the problem persists, please contact customer support and don’t use humidifier until it will be replaced.
If your humidifier has stopped working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
Check the power source: Make sure the humidifier is plugged in and the power outlet is functioning properly. You can also try plugging the humidifier into a different outlet or turn off the humidifier and press the power button 3 times.
Check the water level: Ensure that there is enough water in the humidifier tank. If the tank is empty, fill it with distilled water and try turning the humidifier on again.
Check for clogs: If the humidifier is not producing mist or is producing very little mist, check the filter and other parts for mineral buildup or other debris that may be causing a clog.
If these steps do not solve the problem, contact customer support for assistance.
Humidifiers can develop mold because they create a warm, moist environment that is conducive to the growth of mold and other microorganisms. If the water in the humidifier is not changed frequently or if the humidifier is not cleaned regularly, mold can grow in the tank or on the humidifier's internal components.
To fix mold in a humidifier, you should follow these steps:
Unplug the humidifier and remove the tank. Discard any remaining water in the tank and rinse it out with clean water.
Clean the humidifier according to the manual instructions. Use a soft-bristled brush or sponge to scrub the tank and any other removable components of the humidifier with the vinegar solution.
Rinse the tank and components thoroughly with clean water and let them air dry.
Wipe down the exterior of the humidifier with a damp cloth.
Repeat this cleaning process at least once a week to prevent mold from returning.
In addition to regular cleaning, you can prevent mold from growing in your humidifier by using distilled water instead of tap water. Distilled water is free of minerals and other impurities that can encourage mold growth. You should also empty and dry the humidifier completely when you are not using it, as mold can grow in stagnant water.

This helps to prevent direct contact between the heating pad and the skin, and allows air to circulate around the skin to prevent dehydration and overheating.
Check the power source: Make sure the heating pad is properly plugged into an outlet.
Check the controller: Make sure it is properly connected to the pad and that the cord is not damaged.
Check the heating element: If the heating pad has been damaged or the heating element has failed ( it can be caused by using the heating pad under the body or not according to the manual instructions), this can cause the product malfunctioning. In this case, the heating pad may need to be replaced. In this case, do not use the heating pad until it will be replaced.
