As a healthcare pro, you know you’re often too busy to shop in-person deals, no matter how eager you are to save on essentials for work. Well, it is a perfect time to do just that without leaving the comfort of your home thanks to Amazon’s longest-ever Prime Day sale.
Amazon Prime Day is a 48-hour sale that gives its members exclusive and huge discounts. Their deals include everything from the Echo Dot to Nike sneakers. Of course, Amazon Prime Day may occur later than usual, however, it still will be a big day for Amazon. The U.S., UK, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Austria were the first who celebrated Amazon Prime Day. In 2017, Amazon Prime Day lasted for 30 hours. Amazon can last from 24 to 48 hours and usually run from July 15 through the end of July 16. You can buy everything you want with a great discount. We advise you to make a wish list 🙂
The coronavirus has affected everything in the world including prime day and the news is not so pleasing. As a result, Amazon reports that the even might be pushed to October. This should notify those who are expecting business this July as usual. The New York Times (Wirecutter’s parent company) reports that Amazon’s chief executive Jeff Bezos approved the delay of Prime Day, along with other measures like burying Amazon’s daily deals landing page in order to curb issues that have arisen due to coronavirus-driven demands (the online retail giant has since resurfaced the daily deals page and has scaled back up its acceptance of non-essential items to warehouses.
The official Amazon Prime Day date is reportedly in October, according to CNBC who saw an email to third-party sellers with the placeholder date of October 5. Usually, Prime Day lasted 48 hours, so there were two full days of discounts. Hope something similar will happen in 2020. Amazon has historically picked a Monday to start the deals and Prime Day usually runs through Tuesday. We would have initially thought it would have happened on July 13, or possibly the week before on July 6, so a two-month delay would suggest October 13 or October 14. Amazon may have to work around Apple’s iPhone 12 launch date, which is still unknown, but likely to hog the spotlight.
We have some useful tips for you to make everything perfect and comfortable for you.
Prime day deals will apply to Amazon’s line of products. Therefore, the best prices should be expected this year on the Echo, Fire, and Kindle. Deals on small kitchen appliances will also be available, including favorites from KitchenAid, OXO, and Instant Pot. Prime members have also been able to nab deals on select Apple products in the past few years. We can expect discounts on the Apple Watch Series 5. We also suspect that the 7th-generation iPad will see new low prices. Just as we see notable deals on Prime Day, we might also not see some deals. Since coronavirus stay-at-home measures went into place, we’ve seen a rise and fall in street pricing of some product categories which had Prime day discounts last year. Those categories include fitness gear, some kitchen gear, home office equipment including laptops, and select sought-after gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch. If by Prime day, coronavirus still has an impact on these product categories, we won’t be seeing so many deals for them. Amazon is strategically delaying till October so that things hopefully return to normal and we can get good deals for a wide range of product categories while there will be many deals across product categories, you can also assume that Amazon gift cards will be bundled with rarely discounted items to amp up the values.
Amazon Prime Day 2020 is undoubtedly going to be different than any other as the date shifts to later in the year. But we suspect many of the deals will mirror what we saw last year.
